Main Bathroom Makeover Reveal and Sources

Guys! It’s reveal week of the One Room Challenge and I’m happy to say that for the first time I actually finished on time!

I’m so excited to show you this bathroom transformation, but first let’s take a look at the before shots:

Main Bathroom Makeover

And now…

I am sooo happy with this space! The shiplap was a lot of fun to install and gives the room a lot of personality. I hope Joanna Gaines would be proud 😉

I replaced the huge builder mirror with a smaller framed one and mum found this nautical style light fixture on clearance at Lowes. Because this bathroom also has the jetted tub I think the bench helps give it a spa feel .

Can we also talk about this rug? A totally fluke find at our local HomeSense – it perfectly matches the teal vanity and coral towels we bought! Speaking of which…do you remember what the vanity looked like before??

And now…

Bam! This is totally worth all the time it took to adapt. DIY drawers & doors give it a some much-needed personality and the plank wood countertop adds warmth. Mum has also pointed out that the sink is perfect for baby baths because the faucet swivels out of the way….no babies quite yet though…sorry mum.

Dividing the two sides of the vanity into drawers & open cubbies has also increased the amount of efficient storage.

The shelving unit we had above the toilet has stayed and provides even more storage!

Unfortunately, the glass shower doors we bought did not work with our bathtub out of the box.  We’ve had to come up with a solution with our installer so they won’t be in for a week or two.

Thanks so much for following along with my One Room Challenge bathroom makeover! Don’t forget to check out all the other reveals this week on Calling it Home!

  1. Love it, Casey! The teal vanity is so warm and rustic–very unique. I can’t believe what you tackled and accomplished! The whole room pulls together beautifully, and yes, Joanna would be impressed! Proud of you!

  2. Fantastic job! Really impressive. Great use of space. Love the sink and lights. Lots of light – and it does have the feel like a spa.

  3. Fabulous job! On your shiplap wall, did you leave spaces between the boards? It looks like it but I have seen walls that don’t but I like this so much better. Did you use nickels between them.

  4. I really love your vanity makeover and have been considering doing ours. My problem is that its long with a makeup mirror on one end and hubs says its impossible to convert to two sinks. I am happy to see yours with one sink because the diy tv shows always insist on their being two.
