Need a quick gift you can make in less than an hour? This throw blanket is super cozy and is really easy to make.

Materials:

  • 2 yards flannel print
  • 2 yards Sherpa or cuddle fabric
  • Serger and/or sewing machine

flannel and cuddle throw blanket

Lay out your flannel and cuddle fabric and trim to the same size.

Using a short zig zag stitch on your sewing machine (or a serger if you have one) sew the flannel and cuddle fabrics together wrong sides together.

Fold the sherpa side over to the flannel side along each edge and stitch down to create a border.  The corners can be a little fiddly but just tuck them in and stitch them down (the cuddle fabric is very forgiving when it comes to hiding stitches).

There you have it – quick and easy throw that comes together in about 30 minutes and makes a great gift!

When you sewed the sherpra back over the flannel, did you sew on top of the zigzag edge or did you tuck that under?

I just sewed over it so you can see my edge because mine is all black and white you don’t really notice it. If you wanted a more finished look you could tuck the edge under to hide it.
