I know this is a little off topic from my usual posts, but today I thought I’d share a little about one of my other passions – . Growing up I had problems with acne so I started developing  routines, eventually (in my mid-twenties) I was able to clear everything up and now, in my thirties I’ve developed a completely different problem – ridiculous dryness – especially in the winter!

I’ve rounded up some of my favourite products which would make great gifts for any  fanatics in your life or maybe something to gift yourself to counteract hectic holiday shenanigans.

skincare gift ideas for beauty fanatics and spa go-ers

Spa Gift Cards

One of my absolute musts is getting facials. It’s a little luxury I’ve always allowed myself as I feel it really helped to clear up my skin. I love places that use Dermalogica, Yon-ka or Aveda products and a WaySpa gift card is a great way to gift someone a spa day and right now you can save 15%  – Score!

Beauty Boxes

I love beauty boxes and this past year I treated myself to the fabfitfun boxes. I’ve loved them and they would make an excellent gift – It’s fun to try new beauty products. Right now you can get $15 off with this link: http://xo.fff.me/eJrfT

Another box I would love to try is the Zoe report box – maybe for 2017? They’ve got a deal for $20 off their winter box right now with code WINTER20 (until December 25).

At Home Gel Manicure

If someone you know is a gel polish fan they might love a do-it-yourself home kit. I’ve tried a few and the one I use is from Red Carpet Manicure. The light is powerful and it lasts almost as long as a salon manicure! Tip: while it won’t last AS long I’ve also been successful sandwiching regular nail polish between their gel base and top coats.

Luxury Skin Care

When I was in Portland, OR in September I tried Charlotte Tilbury products for the first time. They are a total luxury (and way above my usual price point for skin care) but this travel set would be an amazing gift  – Her Lip Magic would also be a fantastic luxury stocking stuffer.

Another gift set I have my eye on is from Sunday Riley– this might be something I put under the tree for myself from Santa this year.

Some other products and brands I use and love:

Every day I use my Mango seed moisturizer from the Face Shop, Clinique cleansing balm or  my Clarisonic with some Aveda purifying creme cleanser.

If you’re curious to know how I managed to clear up my skin in addition to facials,  the exact products I used were Bliss clog dissolving cleansing milk (still a favourite)  and Yon-Ka Juvenil Purifying Concentrate (like a toner in problem areas).  I also swear by the amazing (but hard to find) Anna Lotan drying lotion – I still use this when I have the occasional breakout and it works like magic.
